GAS IT ULCD 2.0 ( Ultra Low Current Device ) is an Electronic Control Unit used to operate an electric remote solenoid service valve as fitted in GAS IT vapour tanks & GAS IT Plus bottles.
The ULCD 2.0 solves the problem of draining the vehicles battery when an electric outlet valve is fitted to a GAS IT tank or bottle because without our ULCD 2.0 the electric solenoid valve will draw a high current which over a short time could flatten the vehicles battery. Our ULCD 2.0 works by reducing the Current / Voltage to hold the valve open and thus increases the time significantly before your battery will need to be recharged.
To operate this ULCD 2.0 you need to supply a 12v + dc trigger from either a control panel output or via a separately purchased 12v dc switch.
Significantly reduces the current to the gas tanks electric outlet valve and thus increase vehicle battery life. ( From 1.2 amp opening operational sequence to approximatly 0.07 amp holding open sequence of the gas tank solenoid )

The GAS IT high flow remotely operated electric solenoid in this kit normally comes pre fitted directly into any of the GAS IT tank range and when used with our unique GAS IT Ultra Low Current ECU switch kit, it allows you to open and shut the gas supply directly in your tank remotely at the flip of a switch from inside the vehicle ( Purchased separately )

This remotely operated electric solenoid tank valve can be retrofitted to any GAS IT tank ever sold, so if you already have a existing GAS IT tank and would like to upgrade it to a remotely operated gas tank then you can either buy this solenoid valve and go and select the separately purchased switch electronics ( via our GAS IT Electronics & Controllers - Low Voltage Category- click here to go direct ) and then have the solenoid valve installed in your tank.
Please note that this remote electric solenoid is a high pressure shut off valve which means it is designed to be fitted directly in the tank in place of a manual outlet tap and shuts the full pressure of the tank off. As it shuts off full tank pressure it requires a significant amount of current to open and keep it open ( Around 1.5 amp ) so using this solenoid will flatten the vehicles battery in no time if you don't use a GAS IT Ultra Low current ECU.
